Corporate Controller
Location: Water St. Facility, Summerside, PE
Scope: Supporting multi-site operations across Prince Edward Island
Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 per year
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller is a key leadership role within the organization. This position is responsible for leading the accounting team, overseeing financial reporting and the month-end close process, enhancing internal controls, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate month-end close, managing timelines and reviewing working papers, reconciliations, and reports.

Review monthly financial statements and conduct variance analysis to support informed decision-making.

Provide oversight and guidance across key functions including financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policies.

Prepare internal reports that support operational and strategic decision-making at the leadership level.

Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and support compliance.

Prepare and oversee regulatory, compliance, and ad-hoc reporting as required.

Manage the year-end audit process and act as the primary liaison with the auditors.

Support, develop, and mentor team members, fostering accountability and a high-performing team environment.
Qualifications

CPA designation required.

Progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a strong technical foundation in month-end close, reconciliations, internal controls, and variance analysis.

Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to develop team members, maintain accountability, and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.

Advanced Excel skills, including experience with Power Query, Power Pivot, and/or Visual Basic, are considered an asset.
