Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate and program CNC machinery, including CNC lathes, milling machines, and press brake machines, to produce high-quality precision parts. This role requires proficiency in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge to ensure efficient production processes. The CNC Machinist will also be responsible for quality control, machine maintenance, and ensuring safety standards are met. Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks and familiarity with Fanuc controls are highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC equipment including CNC lathe, milling machines, and press brake machines to produce components according to specifications.
- Program CNC machines using CNC programming languages and Fanuc controls to optimize machining processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
- Set up and calibrate machines using hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills.
- Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards; assist with warehouse tasks such as packaging when needed.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and support overall manufacturing operations.
- Utilize forklift or other warehouse equipment as necessary for material handling.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes, milling machines, or similar equipment.
- Proficiency in CNC programming, especially with Fanuc controls; experience Proshop and Mastercam a plus
- Strong blueprint reading skills combined with mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to operate hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills for precise measurements.
- Familiarity with welding, assembly processes, and quality control procedures preferred.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), forklift operation, or press brake machines is advantageous.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and warehouse experience is desirable.
