Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our team. This role is vital in providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their needs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, barista work, along with strong time management and cash handling skills. Previous experience with POS systems such as Square is a plus. This position offers an engaging environment where teamwork and customer satisfaction are prioritized. Pay will be determined by experience and product knowledge. Social media skills and the ability to create and post content will be a great asset as well.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products or menu items
- Operate POS systems, including Square POS, accurately processing transactions
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and cash handling procedures with precision
- Prepare food and beverages according to safety standards and company procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area and food preparation stations
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently met, including proper food handling and storage
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as barista, server, or food prep preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; weekend availability is a plus
