Responsibilities
- Support the developmental and educational needs of children through engaging activities and personalized care
- Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Implement lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive learning experience
- Monitor and document children's progress, behavior, and milestones
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and organize classroom activities and events
- Use computer skills to maintain records, prepare educational materials, and communicate with families
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, demonstrating strong organizational skills and time management
- Lead by example to foster leadership qualities in children and promote positive social interactions
Requirements
- Proficiency in English; bilingual skills in French or other languages are a plus
- Experience working with children, especially in early childhood education or childcare settings
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively in a classroom setting
- Ability to operate computers and educational software for record keeping and lesson planning
- Classroom experience is highly desirable
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in child development and education
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
