Labourer/Driver
We're seeking a dependable Labourer/Driver to operate company vehicles, manage job site logistics, and support our field operations. This hands-on role combines driving, material handling, and general labor in a fast-paced construction/trades environment with the ability to grow with a team and learn essential construction skills.
What You'll Do
Driving & Transportation
- Operate the company 3500 diesel pickup truck (automatic transmission) and haul various trailers between job sites
- Transport materials, equipment, and personnel safely and on schedule
- Move trailers to designated locations as needed
Jobsite Support
- Keep jobsites clean and organized throughout the day
- Prep work areas: set up drop cloths, dust barriers, and haul in tools/materials
- Assist crews with tasks as needed when not driving
Materials & Maintenance
- Load/unload cargo from suppliers to job sites
- Make dump runs and material pickups as required
- Maintain trailer inventory and keep supplies stocked
- Keep trailers and truck organized, clean, and properly maintained
- Perform monthly trailer maintenance
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
Documentation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and vehicle records
- Track maintenance and supply schedules
What You Need
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (drivers abstract will be required if selected)
- Proven driving experience with trucks and trailers
- Physical capability to safely handle heavy loads and perform manual labor
- Equipment familiarity with mini excavator and skid steer (loading/unloading purposes)
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team and clients
- Safety-focused mindset with knowledge of traffic laws and workplace protocols
- Background in transportation, logistics, warehouse operations, or construction trades
