Welcome to the Qualicum Beach Cafe, a true west coast hospitality experience with an ocean view! We are a growing company and excited to be in one of the most spectacular restaurant locations on Vancouver Island. We are an upscale casual restaurant that focuses on seafood with a hint of Italian influence. Our culinary team offers the highest quality ingredients with thoughtfully created menu items which guests keep coming back for!
The Role:
We are looking for experienced culinary team members with strong work ethic and a great attitude to join our exciting team here at the Qualicum Beach Café! If you have previous kitchen experience or are willing to learn and detail orientated, able to multi-task, we would love to have you on our team.
What You’ll do:
- Cooking and preparing dishes of the highest quality for our guests to enjoy
- Maintaining a clean, neat and presentable work station and appearance
- Demonstrate proper use and knowledge of all food preparation and cooking equipment and procedures at all times for all stations
- Work quickly and efficiently to deliver consistent and delicious dishes
- Support all team members in every role both front of house and back of house
- Communicate between shifts and with culinary leaders and peers
- Other duties as assigned
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a warm and welcoming personality, is friendly and outgoing, demonstrating a positive attitude and energy at all times
- 1+ year of high-volume kitchen experience an asset
- Strong organization skills, able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Set an example for a respectful, collaborative team while demonstrating appropriate working behaviors
