Overview:
The Mixer and Press Operator is an hourly member of the Production Associate Team. This position is a crucial role in the manufacturing process and requires exceptional attention to detail to accurately mix raw materials and produce quality parts.
Shift Requirements:
Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am.
Responsibilities:
- Operate R7, R9 and R18 mixer as required.
- Participation in 5S teams for each department.
- May require unloading/loading of trucks using forklift.
- Use a forklift to move materials.
- Operate automatic/manual hydraulic presses
- Operate machinery in a safe manner at all times
- Weigh materials following specified formulas
- Load materials into mixer by hand (up to 30 lb)
- Use PLC controls to set water and oil additions
- Use forklift to move materials
- Operate Press ability machine
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Must be clean shaven to ensure proper seal with respirator mask
- Experience working in a Manufacturing environment, an asset.
- Must have reliable attendance.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in a fast -paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and reporting skills (written and oral).
- Team player, but can also work independently.
- Motivated, who always thinks in a positive proactive manner.
- Experience with calipers and micrometers, an asset.
- Ability to be on their feet for the entire shift.
- Requires the ability to lift over 50 lbs several times during the shift, unassisted.
- Quick learner who easily adapts to change.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Able to work overtime, as required.

Requirements:
- Ability to read weights and measure to perform machine operations. Ability to write measurements on equipment. Ability to operate basic hand tools such as hammers and wrenches.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time standing up and walking. Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
