About the Role
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative to join a growing industrial solutions company serving warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and construction operations across Southern Ontario. This role is ideal for a true sales hunter who is equally comfortable walking a job site, taking measurements, and presenting solutions in a professional boardroom environment.
You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, assessing customer needs, and delivering tailored shelving, racking, and warehouse solutions that improve operational efficiency and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and prospecting activities.
- Conduct on-site visits to warehouses, plants, and construction sites to assess customer needs, take measurements, and recommend solutions.
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, quotes, and proposals to business owners, managers, and executive-level decision-makers.
- Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships through responsive service and industry expertise.
- Manage the sales cycle from prospecting through closing and post-sale follow-up.
- Maintain activity targets and consistently work toward achieving sales goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate project specifications and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, industrial sales, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel regularly throughout Southern Ontario.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with both operational teams and senior executives.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in the field.
- Basic technical aptitude, including the ability to use a tape measure and understand warehouse or industrial layouts.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Sales Commission Structure
- 5% of profit on all deals up to the monthly quota.
- 10% of profit on all deals over quota.
