About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure surveying of ore stockpiles and rock dumps.
- Provide accurate line and grade to construction and mining crews in a timely manner.
- Plan for blast drill hole positions, Shovel digging lines, ramp gradients and berm designs.
- Conduct aerial drone surveys of the mine site.
- Assist Supervisor to calculate and check month end production figures.
- Assists with the Mine Planning Projects
- Other related tasks
What You Bring To The Table:
- Preferred 5 years of experience in underground mining projects.
- Experience with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) would be considered an asset.
- Completion of a Survey Technician Diploma program or a Mine Technologist Program with relevant fields from a recognized post- secondary institution.
- Possession of a valid G driver's license.
- The individual should demonstrated a high level of energy, self motivation and strong organizational skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment.
- The incumbent will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, GPS, Autocad and/or Deswick is required.
Working Conditions:
- 14/14 rotation
- Office, field, and underground environments
- Pay or shift range: $62,250 and $112,150 CAD
