Qbt Excavating Services Ltd. is currently seeking a full-time GPS Technician/ Gradmen. The work will be primarily be a in-field position with in-office elements as is necessary to fulfill the duties assigned. Duties will include but are not limited to:
-Layout on-site
- Data capture, shoot grades on-site
-Read engineered drawings, calculate take-off and assist in material estimating.
-Work with Total Station Equipment (Downloading, set up and lay-out).Must be familiar with Trimble.
- Must be willing to labor or do office work as needed.
The minimum job requirements :
Qualifications:
· Must have a valid Ontario driver's license with a clean record.
· Good computer skills and must be proficient with MS Word, Excel and E-mail.
· Excellent written and verbal communication.
· Ability to learn quickly, communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
· Excellent mathematical skills to assist in material estimating.
· Knowledge/Experience working with Total Station an asset
· Excellent organizational/record keeping skills for all jobs.
· Good communication skills and fluent English
Education:
· Civil Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma or
· Survey Technician Diploma
- Or equivalent Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00-$36.00 per hour
