The HR Intern - Talent & Workforce Development supports strategic Human Resources initiatives with a primary focus on researching, coordinating, and supporting training grant and workforce development opportunities. Working closely with the HR team and VP of Talent, this role helps identify funding opportunities, supports grant application processes, and contributes to learning and development initiatives that enhance colleague growth and organizational capability. This position provides hands-on exposure to strategic HR operations, project coordination, and workforce development planning in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate:
$22.00/hour to $23.50/hour
Role Responsibilities

Research federal, provincial, and industry training opportunities and funding programs

Monitor deadlines, eligibility requirements, and application processes for grants and workforce development initiatives

Assist in preparing grant applications, supporting documentation, and tracking submissions

Help define and document internal processes related to training grants and funding opportunities

Partner with HR and business leaders to gather information required for applications and reporting

Track training initiatives, budgets, reimbursement opportunities, and program outcomes

Support learning and development initiatives, including training coordination and communications

Assist with HR projects, reporting, presentations, and administrative support as needed

Maintain organized records, trackers, and documentation related to grants and HR initiatives

Conduct research and provide recommendations on emerging workforce development opportunities and best practices

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Human Resources, or related program

Strong research, organizational, and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Comfortable working independently while collaborating with senior leaders

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
