Now Hiring: Custodian/Janitor
Join our team at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560! We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to keep our building and grounds clean, safe, and welcoming for members, guests, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain indoor areas: floors, carpets, washrooms, and surfaces
- Set up rooms for events and rentals
- Coordinate with part-time custodial staff
- Maintain outdoor spaces: pick up litter, water plants in summer, apply salt and clear walkways in winter
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial cleaning/building maintenance
- Strong physical ability to perform job tasks safely
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform handyman tasks (asset)
- Driver’s licence and clear CPIC required
Job Details:
- Part-time, Permanent (20+ hours per week)
- $21–$23 per hour
- Mostly Monday–Friday, with some weekends as needed
- Location: On-site at Branch 560, Kingston, Ontario
