Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineer specializing in high-voltage test and measurement equipment to support the design, operation, testing, and validation of electrical systems and components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with high-voltage testing, strong technical problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of electrical safety and relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-voltage testing and measurements on electrical equipment, components, and systems
- Set up, operate, and maintain high-voltage test and measurement equipment, including high-voltage dividers, wattmeter's, capacitance bridges, and other high voltage equipment
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and validation protocols
- Analyze test data, identify anomalies, and prepare detailed technical reports
- Troubleshoot test equipment and test setups to ensure accurate and repeatable results
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, standards, and company procedures
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for test failures
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues
- Assist with calibration, maintenance, and qualification of test equipment
- Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices related to high-voltage testing
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in high-voltage test and measurement (AC, DC)
- Strong understanding of electrical insulation, dielectric behavior, and high-voltage phenomena
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage safety practices and procedures
- Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, ANSI, UL)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with partial discharge testing and analysis
- Background in power systems, transformers, or power electronics
- Experience working in test laboratories, utilities, or high-voltage manufacturing environments
Working Conditions
- Work performed in high-voltage laboratories and test environments
- Occasional travel may be required
- Strict adherence to safety procedures is mandatory
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
