Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate veterinary team. The ideal candidate will support veterinarians in providing exceptional care to animals, ensuring their well-being and comfort. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Collect and process laboratory samples, perform diagnostic tests, and maintain accurate records
- Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to animals
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and work areas
- Educate pet owners on health care, medication administration, and post-treatment care
- Support inventory management by stocking supplies and ordering as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and animal handling standards
Experience
- Prior laboratory experience is highly desirable to efficiently perform diagnostic testing and sample processing
- Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are essential
- Must have certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent to be considered
