About the Role
As a Guest Services Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, offering warm and professional service in a relaxed, informal setting. You will play a key role in creating memorable experiences by assisting with check-ins, check-outs, inquiries, special requests, and more. Your knowledge of the resort and the surrounding area will help our guests feel welcome and well-cared for throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging guest service
- Greet guests upon arrival and departure with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Handle check-in/check-out procedures using our Property Management System (PMS)
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in person, by phone, or via email
- Share information about the resort, room types, amenities, services, and local attractions
- Manage guest room reservations and cancellations following established procedures
- Process payments, prepare bills, and balance daily cash outs
- Handle guest keys, in-room deliveries, and special requests (e.g., gifts, luggage assistance)
- Promote resort services by up-selling room types and recommending dining and activities
- Assist with driving guests on property or to nearby locations when required and if qualified to do so
- Maintain accurate communication with team members through shift pass-ons and checklists
- Support other departments when needed and promote a team-first attitude
Qualifications
- Genuinely passionate about providing outstanding guest experiences
- Warm, approachable, and professional communication style
- Able to remain calm and helpful in high-pressure or guest-recovery situations
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable when managing payments and sensitive information
- Able to follow safety and security protocols and use sound judgment when needed
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and be active for up to 10 hours per shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Staff Housing
Limited staff accommodation may be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is not guaranteed. Shared accommodations include access to kitchen facilities, laundry, and Wi-Fi. Priority may be given to full-time staff or those without local housing options.
Additional Requirements
- Criminal Record Check: Required prior to start date.
- Reference Check: Two professional references will be contacted.
- Driver’s Abstract: Required for roles involving use of company vehicles or driving duties.
- Signed Staff Manual Agreement: required as part of onboarding, confirming understanding of workplace expectations and policies
