About the Opportunity
Rainbow Greenhouses is seeking a Head Grower to lead all growing operations at our Chilliwack facility. This role is ideal for an experienced grower who brings strong leadership, deep horticultural knowledge, and the ability to guide teams toward consistent, high-quality plant production. The Head Grower oversees the entire growing cycle, ensures optimal environmental conditions, and collaborates with multiple departments to support successful crop programs.
What You'll Do

Oversee the health and quality of all plants on site

Lead and manage a team of Section Growers, IPM staff, and Assistant Growers

Manage nutrient programs and all irrigation systems

Develop and oversee Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs

Work closely with Growers and Operations to ensure all crop tasks are completed on time

Monitor crops for timing, quality, and alignment with sales requirements

Oversee climate control systems to maintain ideal growing conditions and reduce energy waste

Provide planning input on genetics, crop scheduling, and continuous quality improvement

Stay connected with industry professionals to implement new and innovative growing strategies
What You Bring
Must-Haves
-
University degree in horticulture, agriculture, plant science, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Grower or in a similar senior growing role

Strong horticultural knowledge and leadership capability

Experience with Argus Climate Controls

BC Pesticide Applicator Certificate

Strong communication, coaching, and team development skills

Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
