Completions Shop Technician
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing and ensuring appropriate too and consumable inventory levels to meet client contractual agreements, maintaining a well-organized shop, participating and contributing to a safe environment, and supporting the management and field operations personnel with job preparation. The shop technician must possess equipment maintenance and rebuilding skills, operations and control aptitude and the ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to all Tier 1 Energy Solutions (Tier 1) policies and procedures, furthermore understand and adhere to any client’s policies and procedures;
- Utilizing knowledge of inventory cycles to manage and control inventory levels;
- Communicate and coordinate incoming and outgoing orders with relevant partners;
- Completing work orders for tools redressed;
- Redressing tools;
- Ensuring the availability of all necessary materials and tools required to support he field work;
- Release scheduling of inbound materials and components;
- Ensuring adequate stock levels for production requirements;
- Other duties as assigned by the reporting Manager.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of (1) one years’ experience in a shop environment;
- Strong communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, calculate reliability and validity and correlations;
- Basic Electronic knowledge;
- Ability to mentor and willingness to learn and grow within Tier 1;
- Ability to think quickly and apply problem solving skills to situations as they come up in the field;
- Ability to work in a positive team environment;
- Ability to work with hand and power tools;
- Required to keep all applicable certifications up to date as required by Tier 1’s Quality and HSE;
- Ability to operate independently;
- Ability to champion a company safety culture.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Frequent climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain);
- Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling (70 pounds);
- Frequent bending, twisting and standing;
- Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week;
- Exposure to high noise over 85 dba.
Educations, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
- High School Diploma, General Education Diploma, or Equivalent Experience;
- H2S (an asset);
- Class 5 Drivers License (a must);
- First Aid/CPR (an asset).
Qualifications:
- Results from a pre-employment test must be deemed acceptable in accordance to Tier 1’s policies;
- 5 years commercial/drivers abstract must be in compliant with Tier 1’s guidelines;
- Results from a back ground check must be deemed acceptable in accordance to Tier 1’s guidelines;
