POSITION: SOC Patroller (Patrols, Alarm Response, Call Operator) - Corporal

- 8 & 12-hour shifts-Rotation
- Patroller/Alarm Response/Call Operator - shifts availability must include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and possibly unscheduled call-ins, may be required from district Supervisor/Manager
RATE OF PAY: $21.67 per hour

JOB SUMMARY:
The SOC Patroller / Alarm Response / Call Operator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Centre (SOC). This role includes patrol duties, alarm response, and communication coordination while ensuring professional service delivery to clients and the public.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must possess a valid class G drivers’ license and have a clear driver’s abstract (3-year),
- Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills,
- Must be able to communicate in a calm and confident manner regardless of circumstances,
- Must be able to interact with people in a concise and professional manner,
- Must be able to maintain Commissionaires and client confidentiality,
- Must be able to utilize any proprietary programs in use by/for the designated site/client,
- Must be physically able to conduct vehicle or foot patrols at site buildings and locations,
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team,
- Must be able to complete a vulnerable sector check if assigned to Crossing-Guard duties,
- Should possess excellent computer skills, including experience with specialized secure networks and all Microsoft products i.e., Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, and
- Should possess experience with online scheduling apps.
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Reliability (5 years minimum Canadian residency)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent Commissionaires and clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and service calls in accordance with company procedures and client requirements
- Conduct mobile patrols, site checks, and security inspections as assigned
- Operate within alarm systems, dispatch systems, and internal communication platforms
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation including reports, logs, and incident records
- Monitor and control access points, including issuing and tracking keys, passes, and credentials
- Provide customer service support to site personnel, visitors, and clients
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when required
- Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and client-specific instructions
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and ensure safe operation of company vehicles
- Maintain ongoing communication with the SOC, supervisors, and team members
- Report hazards, unusual activity, and incidents promptly
- Support additional operational or administrative tasks as assigned by supervisors or management
CLIENT REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for consideration for this position, you must have the following qualifications:
- Reliability (5 years Minimum Canadian residency)
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid Emergency CPR First Aid with AED
- Driver’s License
- Driver’s Abstract
- Clean CPIC and Background Check

All security work is 24/7 up to 40 hours per week and overtime is possible.
