Job Summary
You will be the on‑site lead responsible for daily operation, safety, maintenance coordination and reporting across five natural‑gas power generation + mining sites. This is a hands‑on, long‑term role: you will supervise the contracted maintenance teams, coordinate contractors and vendors, perform operational tasks when needed, and deliver daily/weekly/monthly reports to headquarters and the management team. Occasional on‑site living/shift work required.

Key Responsibilities
- Overall site leadership for 5 sites: ensure safe, reliable operation of gensets, mining containers, fuel systems and site utilities.
- Supervise, schedule and coordinate the contracted maintenance team(s) and third‑party vendors; approve daily work plans and prioritize tasks.
- Perform hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting and emergency repairs when required (mechanical, electrical, basic instrumentation).
- Monitor plant performance and fuel consumption; ensure equipment protection and compliance with safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout, PPE, ESD, fire safety, etc.).
- Ensure preventive maintenance plans are executed and maintenance logs are kept up to date.
- Act as primary on‑site contact for gas supplier, regulators and local stakeholders; coordinate site access and inspections.
- Manage spare parts inventory and tool/equipment readiness.
- Prepare and submit daily operations summary, weekly progress reports and monthly performance & incident reports to headquarters.
- Lead incident response and coordinate escalation to remote operations/management and emergency services if needed.
- Ensure site documentation (P&IDs, electrical drawings, datasheets, permits, logs) is current and accessible.
- Train and mentor on‑site maintenance staff on safety and operational procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in plant/site operations, industrial maintenance, or power generation operations; experience in natural‑gas gensets, distributed generation or data center/mining sites preferred.
- Hands‑on mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills; able to perform basic repairs and oversee contractors.
- Strong supervisory experience — scheduling, contractor management and team leadership.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems (PLC/RTU basics), Ethernet/SCADA connectivity and field instrumentation advantageous.
- Knowledge of Canadian electrical (CEC), gas and safety regulations preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written English; ability to prepare clear daily/weekly reports.
- Valid driver’s license; able to travel between nearby sites.
- Willingness to live near site and work shifts / standby rotation; be on‑site as required.
- Emergency first aid / H2S / other safety certifications an asset.
