Project Coordinator

$65,000 – $80,000 annually | Full-time, Year-Round | Path to Project Manager
Office-based with travel to project sites across Saskatchewan. Will consider candidates from Saskatoon depending on qualifications.
Neetah Construction is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a critical, full-time year-round role supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of underground infrastructure and heavy civil construction projects across Saskatchewan. We are actively looking to develop this individual into a Project Manager role in the near future — making this an exceptional opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career.
PROJECT COORDINATION & SCHEDULING
- Coordinate and track project activities, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget completion
- Create and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project
- Track installed quantities and monitor field progress against project budgets and schedules
- Liaise with site supervisors to align field activities with project plans and resolve day-to-day coordination issues
- Conduct site visits across Saskatchewan to monitor progress, verify quality, and support field teams
- Attend project meetings with clients and consultants; maintain meeting minutes and action item logs
DOCUMENT CONTROL & SUBMITTALS
- Manage submittal processes including RFIs, shop drawings, and contract administration documentation
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and municipal/provincial standards
- Maintain project records, correspondence logs, change order documentation, and contractual obligations
- Prepare and compile project closeout packages including as-builts, O&M manuals, and client turnover documents
- Assist in creating and submitting project proposals
COST CONTROL & FINANCE
- Assist with project cost tracking including cost codes and WBS structures; support monthly cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Track purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and invoice approvals
- Assist with estimating work scopes and support progress claims and subcontractor payment processes
PROCUREMENT & SUBCONTRACTORS
- Coordinate material procurement and equipment rentals in alignment with project schedules; maintain procurement and delivery logs
- Assist with subcontractor onboarding, documentation, and compliance requirements
HEALTH, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
- Maintain records for insurance, safety documentation, and contractual obligations in line with company and regulatory standards
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years of experience in underground infrastructure and/or heavy civil construction
- Proficient in the full Microsoft Office suite; experience with Microsoft Project required
- Working knowledge of submittal procedures including RFIs, shop drawings, and contract administration
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and municipal/provincial standards
- Previous estimating experience in underground and heavy civil work scopes (an asset)
- Solid knowledge of construction equipment and typical materials used in underground and civil work
- Experience preparing as-builts, operation & maintenance manuals, and project closeout packages
- Familiarity with cost tracking, and construction financial processes
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Valid driver’s licence required; willingness to travel to project sites across Saskatchewan
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field considered an asset
