The Opportunity
The Psychiatrist will provide assessment, consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients experiencing a range of psychiatric and mental health concerns.
Responsibilities may include:
- Comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment planning
- Consultation and collaborative care with referring providers
- Medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions, as appropriate
- Participation in interdisciplinary case discussions and shared-care planning where appropriate
- Supporting quality initiatives and program development
Practice focus and patient population may be tailored to align with the successful candidate’s interests and expertise.
Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Certification in Psychiatry through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Experience in outpatient psychiatry and collaborative care settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems and virtual care platforms
- Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset
