Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Alarm Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing security and alarm systems across various commercial and residential sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints. Responsibilities
- Install alarm systems, sensors, and related security equipment according to technical specifications and schematics.
- Conduct system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure optimal operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to facilitate accurate installations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and low voltage wiring techniques to complete installations efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of existing alarm systems to identify potential issues proactively.
- Collaborate with construction teams during building phases to coordinate alarm system integration.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes.
- Document installation procedures, system configurations, and service reports accurately.
Experience
- Prior experience in electrical work, construction, or security system installation is preferred.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical wiring is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity with sensors, low voltage systems, and power tools is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience working with hand tools, power tools, and low voltage wiring in a construction or technical environment is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles related to alarm systems and sensors.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently while maintaining safety standards. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with technical expertise in alarm systems who can work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service for our clients.
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
