Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Kitchen assistant/student to support our catering and bakery services. This role involves assisting with food preparation, customer service, delivery, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, and possess excellent communication skills to ensure a positive experience for the clients.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with safety standards
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing their needs courteously and answering their questions
- Operate point of sales systems for order processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen area through regular cleaning and sanitation
- Support serving staff with food delivery and guest assistance as needed
- Handle food safety procedures, including proper food handling and storage
- Assist with cashiering duties, including processing payments accurately
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Experience in food service (catering) preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards preferred
- Familiarity with point of sales systems/platforms
- Strong communication skills (French and English spoken fluently)
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Experience in delivery an asset
- Attention to cleanliness and detail in maintaining hygiene standards
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize duties effectively

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
