Job description and tasks
In addition to regular teaching responsibilities, the role also includes:
- Involvement in pedagogical days organized by the College
- Participation in departmental meetings
- Involvement in student-focused activities such as field trips, competitions, and year-end Graduate Exhibition.
- Performing other department related administrative duties
Required Qualifications
- BA degree in Music
- Excellent English communication skills essential
- Experience teaching voice in the popular stylistic medium such as (Pop, R&B, Jazz, Rock, Hip hop) essential for all voice classes.
- Experience teaching Pop & Classical guitar essential for all guitar courses.
- Professional Vocal Performance experience in the Popular stylistic medium essential for all Voice classes.
- Professional Guitar Performance experience in the Popular stylistic medium essential for all Guitar classes.
- General knowledge of French is an asset.
To be considered for a full teaching load, candidates must be able teach courses in at least two of the following categories:
- All the literature-based Courses: Appreciating Music, Music History, Pop & Jazz Culture
- Guitar Courses
- Voice Courses
