Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Daycare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. This role involves supervising children, assisting with daily activities, and supporting their developmental needs. Experience in serving, food preparation, and food handling within a childcare or food service setting is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to food safety standards
- Perfect with meal preparation, including cooking and food handling as needed
- Maintain Hygiene and cleanliness of the daycare environment, in the kitchen and around.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food service and childcare
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily nutrition intake.
- Act as a floater to cover breaks of educators.
Qualifications
- Level 1 Early childhood educator certificate
- Background Check- Vulnerable police check.
- First Aid certification.
- Food Handling certificate is an asset.
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and meal preparation techniques
- Experience serving or working with children is a plus
- Ability to handle food safely during meal prep and service
- Strong communication skills and a caring demeanor
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
- Basic understanding of food handling regulations in the food industry or childcare settings
- Must be reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail
