The Role
We’re hiring a senior CNC Mill Machinist for our evening shift (10-hour shifts). This is a high-skill, high-autonomy role — you’ll be setting up and running both 3-axis and multi-axis (4/5-axis) milling equipment with minimal supervision. We’re looking for someone who’s genuinely mastered the craft and takes ownership of their work.
★ Lathe experience is an asset and could further strengthen your rate.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, primarily Fanuc-controlled equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models using SolidWorks and other CAD software
- Program CNC machines to produce precise parts according to specifications using CNC programming skills
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC milling machines to ensure optimal operation
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and quality standards
- Select and use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for machine setup or minor repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with assembly or related manufacturing tasks when required
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of CNC machining experience with a milling focus
- Proven ability to set up and run both 3-axis and 4/5-axis milling equipment
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision — this is a senior role
- Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) is an asset
- Manual machining experience is an asset
- CNC Lathe experience is an asset
- Must supply own basic hand tools
- English proficiency required
- Must be able to work evening shift, in-person at our Oakville facility
