Under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Lead (RN), the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides direct nursing care to residents of Brentwood Recovery Home within a live-in addiction and mental health treatment setting. The RPN practices within their legislated scope of practice, under the clinical guidance and supervision of the Clinical Nurse Lead (RN), and in accordance with organizational policies, professional standards, and accreditation requirements.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
· Provide safe, person-centered nursing care to residents
· Administer psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications as ordered
· Monitor resident health status and respond to changes in condition
· Document care accurately and maintain confidentiality of health information
· Communicate relevant clinical information to the interdisciplinary team
· Practice within RPN scope and seek RN guidance for complex or unpredictable situations
· Follow organizational policies, procedures, and safety protocols
· Identify and report incidents, risks, and medication discrepancies
· Additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
· Diploma in Practical Nursing
· Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
· Experience in mental health, addictions, or live-in care preferred
· Competence in medication administration and documentation
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· Bilingualism in both official languages would be an asset.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends
· Successful completion of a Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
The current pay range is $23.00 – $27.85 per hour, determined by the successful applicants qualifications and experience.
