Macro Truck Sales is a rapidly growing commercial truck dealership and repair facility looking for an experienced 310T Truck and Coach Technician to join our team as a Shop Lead Hand at our Head Office in Mississauga.
This is a working leadership role where you'll lead by example while performing diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections on heavy-duty commercial trucks and trailers. You'll work alongside licensed technicians and registered apprentices, helping build a high-performing, technician-first shop focused on quality workmanship, customer service, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections on heavy-duty trucks and commercial trailers.
- Lead by example while working alongside 310T Technicians and registered apprentices.
- Coach, mentor, and develop technicians to improve productivity, quality, and technical skills.
- Assist with shop scheduling and workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and Ministry of Transportation (MTO) safety standards.
- Work closely with Service Advisors and management to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Communicate repair recommendations and technical information professionally when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Promote and enforce all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician Licence (Required).
- 5+ years of experience repairing heavy-duty commercial trucks.
- Previous Shop Lead Hand, Foreman, Team Lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic, electrical, engine, aftertreatment, brake, suspension, steering, HVAC, and drivetrain repair experience.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance (PM), annual inspections, and safety inspections.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid Class G Driver's Licence (DZ or AZ licence considered an asset).
