TEEMA Solutions is looking for a Welding Supervisor for our client located in Mississauga.
Duties:
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance with applicable codes, blueprints, customer specifications, and CWB W47.1 / W47.2, with particular attention to aluminum-specific requirements (heat input, distortion, cleanliness, filler selection)
- Review drawings, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and job travelers for accuracy before production
- Approve incoming materials and finished goods by confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement checks; reject and return unacceptable materials
- Supervise staff and oversee operations on a daily basis.
Qualifications Required;
- Current CWB CSA W47.1 and W47.2 certification, in good standing, with scope covering aluminum and stainless steel
- Minimum 6 years of progressive supervisory or people management experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Extensive hands-on experience welding and fabricating aluminum, including its unique handling, heat management, and distortion-control challenges versus steel
- Strong welding background across aluminum and steel using GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) processes; TIG proficiency particularly important for aluminum work
Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
