Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills. The Server will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our guests while supporting the overall operations of the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health regulations within the food industry
- Follow all opening and closing duties
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
