Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, following established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision and creativity to meet customer specifications and presentation standards
- Handle food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling baked items efficiently
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and hygiene at all times
- Package baked goods carefully for display or take-out orders, maintaining product freshness and appearance
- Assist customers with selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service in a lively manner
- Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area, including equipment cleaning, sanitation practices, and organization of supplies
Skills
- Proven experience in baking, cake decorating, or food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
- Skilled in cooking techniques related to baking and pastry arts
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience including food packaging, ingredient measurement, and equipment operation
- Knowledge of the food industry standards for hygiene and safety protocols
