About the Role
We are looking for a motivated, professional, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our small, dynamic team. This is a full-time, in-store position where you’ll help clients choose the perfect blinds and drapery while managing quotes, appointments, and ongoing customer communications.
This position offers a growth path toward future management opportunities for the right candidate who demonstrates initiative and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in the showroom, providing personalized guidance on blinds and drapery options.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of our custom products and the brands we carry (Hunter Douglas, Graber, and others).
- Prepare detailed price quotes and follow up with customers to close sales.
- Coordinate appointments and manage customer inquiries via email and phone.
- Create and send professional communications for quotes, bids, and proposals.
- Keep the showroom organized, ensuring samples and displays are well-maintained.
- Collaborate with production and installation teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Contribute to marketing efforts by client outreach and bidding on projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience; industry experience in window coverings or home décor is strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable handling quotations, email correspondence, and data entry.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with strong follow-up skills.
- Self-starter with a professional, polished demeanor.
- Passionate about design, customer satisfaction, and high-quality craftsmanship.
