ID Logistics is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team supporting fulfillment operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, to support operations at our Milton, Ontario distribution centre. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility infrastructure and material handling equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns, and support continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with Operations and site leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment & Facility Maintenance

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment, including:

Conveyors and sortation systems
-
Dock equipment (dock levelers, doors, restraints)
-
Forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mobile equipment
-
Maintain building systems such as lighting, HVAC (basic support), plumbing, and minor electrical systems
-
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related equipment issues and perform timely repairs
-
Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize operational downtime
Preventive Maintenance & Reliability

Complete scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) tasks according to established programs
-
Accurately document work orders, PMs, and repairs using a CMMS or maintenance log
-
Identify recurring failures and recommend corrective or permanent solutions

Support peak season readiness and equipment reliability reviews
Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping

Perform all work in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and company safety policies

Follow lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and electrical safety procedures
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance work area
-
Report hazards, near-misses, and equipment safety risks promptly
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Work closely with Operations, IT, and Engineering teams to support uninterrupted site operations

Assist with equipment installations, site expansions, and process improvements

Support external contractors and vendors, ensuring safety and quality standards are met

Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required
-
2–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or Millwright in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills

Basic electrical knowledge (motors, sensors, photo eyes, control circuits)

Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and SOPs

Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, 24x7 operational environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Preferred
-
433A Industrial Millwright or 442A Industrial Electrician (licensed or apprenticeship)

Experience supporting automated or semi-automated material handling systems

Experience using a CMMS
-
Forklift or lift equipment certification
-
Experience working in a 3PL or high-SKU distribution centre
