About the Role
Specialty Refrigeration is seeking a skilled Industrial Refrigeration Mechanic with strong ammonia system experience to join our growing service team. Our work primarily supports manufacturing facilities and recreational systems, offering a diverse and hands-on service environment.
This role involves performing scheduled maintenance, system start-ups, troubleshooting, and repairs across a wide range of refrigeration systems. You’ll also act as a field representative, helping build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service calls
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial refrigeration systems
- Commission and start up new equipment
- Work with HFC and natural refrigerant systems (ammonia, CO₂, propane)
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Represent the company professionally in the field and support business growth
Qualifications
- Valid Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Journeyman Certificate or Red Seal
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Proven industrial refrigeration experience
- Mandatory: Ammonia refrigeration system experience
- Class A Gas Ticket (considered an asset)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a field service environment
