Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food service, food preparation, and kitchen operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with a solid understanding of food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, ensuring consistency and quality
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, maintaining a positive dining experience
- Handle food safely and hygienically, adhering to all health regulations
- Assist with food presentation and plating to ensure visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure proper meal preparation
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Manage inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
Requirements
- Culinary OR Food Service Worker Program Certification is mandatory
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Skills in serving, food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
