Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Lead Product Engineer, the engineering student will be responsible for the day-to-day activities related to product design and corrective/preventive action of non-conformances. Responsibilities for the position include:
- Work with engineering team to create designs, BOMs and shop drawings
- Review and verification on the existing designs, verify the design using engineering principals
- Collaborate with engineering services and production to ensure successful manufacturing of newly designed parts and assemblies
- Interact with external resources (vendors/customers) to resolve technical issues
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in program with Engineering stream alignment
- Sound working knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of engineering analysis and calculation
- Experience in Engineering shop floor would be preferable
- Organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A self-starter who is able to work independently and with a team
- Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
