We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to work in a large distribution center. This is a full time, permanent position with indoor and outdoor work areas, handling lumber and related building materials.
Forklift driving experience an asset, but not required. Forklift training will be provided on site.
COMBLift experience and lumber and building materials experience preferred and incentivized (up to an additional $3.00 per hour)
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Loading and unloading flatbed trucks and trailers
- Order picking of lumber and related building materials
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Basic English writing skills
- Ability to work overtime when required (overtime pay provided)
Hours:
This position consists of two rotating shifts, one week at a time.
Shift 1 - Monday to Friday - 6:00am to 2:30pm
Shift 2 - Monday to Friday - 9:30am to 6:00pm
Compensation:
- Starting wage $22 per hour, potential to increase after probationary period
- Additional earnings growth potential based on expertise and specialized positions
