Overview
Seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the organization's Human Resources strategy and operations.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on people-related matters.
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee engagement.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Develop and oversee recruitment and retention strategies.
- Ensure effective onboarding programs for new employees.
Employee Relations
- Foster positive employee relations and maintain a respectful workplace.
- Provide guidance on conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure consistent application of organizational policies and procedures.
- Support managers in addressing employee performance and workplace issues.
Performance Management
- Lead the organization's performance management framework.
- Develop programs that encourage continuous feedback, coaching, and employee development.
Compensation and Benefits
- Oversee compensation philosophy, salary administration, and benefits programs.
- Conduct market analyses to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable compensation and employment legislation.
Learning and Organizational Development
- Develop leadership development and employee training programs.
- Identify organizational capability gaps and implement development strategies.
- Promote continuous learning and career development opportunities.
HR Operations and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment legislation and workplace regulations.
- Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures.
- Oversee HR systems, records management, reporting, and data integrity.
- Monitor HR metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Health, Safety, and Wellness
- Support organizational health, safety, and wellness initiatives.
- Partner with leadership to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
- Promote employee well-being and mental health programs.
Financial and Administrative Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the Human Resources department budget.
- Monitor HR expenditures and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
- Evaluate HR programs to maximize organizational value and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
Professional Designation
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), or equivalent professional designation preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive human resources experience.
- At least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
- Experience developing HR strategies and leading organizational change.
- Experience advising senior leaders and managing complex employee relations matters.

- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) and HR analytics.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid work environment - Monday to Friday - 50/50 home or office

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00-$175,000.00 per year
