- Required education: Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field (Education, English, etc.) with relevant education experience.
- Required experience: 1 year teaching experience or quick learner who want to work in the education field.
- Required language: English and Mandarin

- Proficient in English reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
- Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning experience.
- Ability to adapt tutoring strategies to meet individual learning styles and needs.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience is a plus.
- Ease of Commute: Ability to commute to our institution on a daily basis.
- Teaching Certification: Possession of a Teaching Certificate of Qualification in British Columbia is preferred.
- Provide personalized university admissions counseling and support to students.
- Develop tailored application strategies and roadmaps based on each student's strengths, goals, and preferences.
- Assist students in crafting compelling personal statements, essays, and applications.
- Provide guidance on extracurricular activities, leadership roles, and summer opportunities that enhance students' applications.
About Your New Job
Our application assistant is an entry level work of the US&Canada University Application team who provides services to ensure that each application case of the student is fulfilled.
- Familiar with University Application System (OUAC, BC Planner, Common APP etc.)
- Meticulous and attention to details, particularly in editing documents and record-keeping.
- Organizational skills are required to coordinate academic timetables and other cyclical processes
- Highly responsible and approachable with students and parents, proactive awareness of clients’ demands and ability to provide advices accordingly. Customer service experience is an asset.
- Good team player with good communication skills, proficient with Microsoft office, excel and Powerpoint system, and open and quick to learn necessary computer skills required by the job
- Need to work under pressure and meet deadline
- Candidates must be able to speak both English and Mandarin fluently
- At least medium level of computer literacy
