Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Project Coordinator, Business Services provides senior-level coordination, advisory support, and operational oversight to the CEO and senior leadership team. The role supports strategic planning, project implementation, governance, risk management, privacy, compliance, and policy development, while providing analysis and follow-through on organizational priorities. Through these responsibilities, the position promotes effective operations, accountability, continuous improvement, and alignment with HHB’s governance, policy, and service priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership, planning, coordination, and oversight to support the CEO, senior executive team, corporate planning processes, executive-level initiatives, and organizational priorities.
- Lead and coordinate complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives, projects, and teams to advance HHB’s mandate, corporate objectives, and operational priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO by working with senior leaders and subject matter experts to identify, assess, and respond to strategic opportunities, risks, and organizational challenges.
- Lead the research, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of strategies, policies, frameworks, tools, and processes that support business operations, programs, and projects.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement through research, analysis, technology-enabled solutions, evidence-based recommendations, and coordinated implementation activities.
- Support corporate and departmental business planning by developing operational plans, performance measures, reports, dashboards, and tracking organizational outcomes, milestones, and commitments.
- Coordinate governance, executive, and corporate follow-up activities, including action items, key deliverables, timelines, committee participation, and reporting to support accountability and alignment with priorities.
- Coordinate Enterprise Risk Management, privacy management, and compliance activities, including maintaining risk registers, supporting mitigation strategies, managing privacy-related matters, and preparing reports for senior leadership and governance bodies.
- Coordinate executive-level and corporate training, learning, and professional development initiatives, including tracking mandatory, governance, compliance, and role-specific training requirements and reporting completion status.
- Liaise with government, Crown agencies, community partners, industry associations, and internal teams to support collaboration, benchmarking, communications, stakeholder engagement, and alignment of business and operational initiatives, while promoting and maintaining HHB’s safety culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education or training in business administration, public administration, governance, risk management, privacy management, compliance, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Additional coursework, certification, or professional development in areas such as corporate governance, enterprise risk management, privacy legislation, policy development, or project coordination would be considered an asset.
- Experience in Project Coordination or Project Management is required.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience will be considered.
- 2-3 years of experience demonstrating success in leading teams and building a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with a strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Class 5 Driver’s Licence
Position details:
- This is a Full-time, Permanent, Non-union position, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Shift work, on-call response, overtime, or extended hours will be required based on operational demands.
- The annual salary range for this position is $65,596 - $81,995
Working conditions:
This role is primarily performed in an office-based environment using standard office equipment, with much of the work completed while seated and frequent opportunities to move throughout the day. Occasional site visits may be required, with limited exposure to mild environmental conditions such as dust, noise, or other workplace factors. The position requires sustained visual attention, mental concentration, accuracy, and sound judgment to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines, sensitive information, and confidential matters. Work is generally performed under acceptable conditions, with occasional exposure to psychological pressures such as deadlines or repetitive tasks. Professionalism, integrity, discretion, and the ability to exercise independent judgment are essential to success in the role.
