Warehouse Associate
This role reports to the Warehouse Manager.
This is a part-time seasonal position with opportunity to extend. Regular hours are scheduled Tuesday - Thursday 8:00 - 12:00 PM, hours may vary based on demand. Occasional overtime may be required based on operational needs.
Compensation:
- $15.00 per hour
- Estimated 10 - 30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies and local regulations while performing duties.
- Physical Requirements: Must be capable of lifting up to 75lbs in a safe manner as directed by Management and WCB requirements. This role often involves heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, so physical fitness and stamina are essential.
- Safety First: Work with Management to ensure all safety requirements determined by Alberta Health, WCB and/or the Company are upheld. It is important to note that disregard for mandated safety requirements will result in termination of your employment.
- Customer Service and Order Fulfillment: Meet customers picking up product and ensure all required paperwork is completed (e.g. completed invoice). Customer service and professionalism is always expected.
- Picking Orders and Building Pallets: Prepare customer orders and staging orders. Pallets are to be picked according to Company procedures and guidelines, and with considerations for the rest of the Red Deer Bottling team and our accounts. For example, is the pallet sturdy, an appropriate height for unloading and delivery, built as requested by the customer etc.
- Preparing Trucks for Deliveries: Load trucks with pallets and product for delivery and unload returning trucks and prepare the trucks for the next day of deliveries. This includes removing garbage, trays, pallets, returns etc., and when time allows, cleaning trucks.
- Receiving Goods: Receive shipments and record incoming product quantities and all other required information such as best before dates according to Company policies and procedures
- Inventory Management: Place all new products into inventory with proper rotation. Fill C02 tanks as required. Level pallets and products off to maintain cleanliness and ease inventory counting.
- Damages and Returns: Record damaged product returned on trucks from trade. Record and return good products to stock returned from trade.
- General Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain clean and safe work area by washing floors and sweeping all areas including yard, wash bays, warehouse and loading docks. Proactively find time throughout the day when trucks are not being loaded, unloaded and pallets are not being built to complete maintenance and cleaning activities.
- Vehicles and Property: Maintain company vehicles, equipment, or other property. This includes ensuring proper use of forklifts and pallet jacks.

- Security: Turn out lights and lock required gates for closing to ensure property is safely secured before leaving.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Ability to lift 75 lbs safely
- Class 5 driver's license is an asset
- Experience or certification with forklifts and pallet jacks is an asset
- First Aid certification is considered an asset
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
