Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to lead our hospitality team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service and food safety in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation and serving processes to maintain quality standards
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Train and mentor team members on food safety, customer service, and restaurant procedures
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist with interviewing and hiring new staff members to build a competent team
- Monitor restaurant cleanliness, food handling practices, and compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and efficient service
- Lead by example in hospitality, professionalism, and leadership to foster a positive work environment
Skills
- Proven supervising or team management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience with restaurant management systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs effectively
- Leadership qualities with experience in interviewing, training, and motivating staff
- Ability to manage cash handling accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with restaurant operations including serving, food handling, and hospitality best practices
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus for understanding diverse service environments
- Strong communication skills combined with the ability to lead a team under pressure
