Position Summary
Beach Grove Golf Club is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accountant to join our administrative team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role plays an important part in supporting the Club’s financial operations and ensuring accuracy, accountability, and strong internal controls across all departments.
The Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, reconciliations, reporting, payroll support, and financial administration while working closely with operational leaders throughout the Club. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced private club environment.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- Assist the Controller with the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Process daily credit card charges and reconcile to the statement.
- Assist with month-end and year-end procedures.
- Support the annual audit process and preparation of audit working papers.
- Audit and reconciliation of daily sales.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Support
- Assist with accounts payable processing, coding and invoice verification.
- Perform bi-monthly AP runs when required
- Act as the primary point of contact to resolve invoicing discrepancies, clarify payment terms, and manage inquiries.
- Support accounts receivable functions including member billing support and account reconciliation.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions and reporting.
Operational & Departmental Support
- Work collaboratively with department leaders to support operational reporting and financial accuracy.
- Assist with tracking and monitoring departmental expenses, processing invoices into inventory, and coding accuracy.
- Help identify process improvements and operational efficiencies across administrative and financial functions.
Systems & Controls
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support strong internal controls and adherence to Club policies and procedures.
- Assist with system improvements, reporting efficiencies, and process documentation.
Payroll & Administrative Support
- Provide backup support for payroll processing as required.
- Assist with maintaining employee records and payroll-related documentation.
- Support administrative functions within the Admin & Finance Office as needed, including answering phones and handling member inquiries.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in hospitality, private club, golf, or service-based environments is an asset
- Working toward CPA designation is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience with accounting software, Microsoft Office, and strong Excel skills
- Experience with Jonas Club Software is considered an asset

- This is a full-time salaried position. The Employee is expected to fulfill the responsibilities of the role as required to support Club operations and business needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on experience ranging from $50,000 - $65,000
