Inventory Leader Wanted: Top-Tier GTA Dealer Group
Are you a strategic parts professional with a sharp eye for inventory control and a passion for driving wholesale and retail growth? One of the Greater Toronto Area’s largest automotive groups is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to lead operations at one of our high-volume locations (Mississauga, Brampton, or Toronto).
This is a confidential search for a leadership role within a premier multi-brand organization known for its massive inventory reach and career development opportunities. This is an existing vacancy.
The Role
- Strategic Inventory Management: Oversee a significant inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels, high fill rates, and minimal obsolescence.
- Revenue Growth: Drive departmental profitability by expanding wholesale accounts and maximizing retail counter sales.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of Parts Advisors, Warehouse Staff, and Drivers to deliver elite service to both internal (Shop) and external customers.
- Vendor & Manufacturer Relations: Act as the primary liaison for parts procurement, warranty returns, and manufacturer incentive programs.
- Operational Efficiency: Implement processes for core management, freight handling, and shipping/receiving to ensure a seamless workflow.
What You Bring
- Proven Track Record: 5+ years of automotive parts experience, with at least 2 years in a management or assistant management role.
- Tech Proficiency: High level of comfort with DMS platforms (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or PBS) and electronic parts catalogues (EPC).
- Logistics Expertise: Strong understanding of GTA-specific logistics, wholesale delivery routes, and local market competition.
- Leadership Style: A firm but fair approach to staff management and a commitment to maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment.
- Credentials: A valid Ontario G License and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
