Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.
Join Scotiabank at a pivotal time of transformation, where Procurement is driving strategic value and innovation. As the Bank accelerates its adoption of AI and digital capabilities, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of sourcing within a global organization.
The Role:
We’re looking for a Manager, Supplier Management who can lead strategic Supplier Relationship Management across some of the Bank’s most important third-party partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who excels at building trusted supplier relationships, creating strong governance rhythms, improving supplier performance, and turning executive-level partnerships into measurable business value.
In this role, you’ll work closely with business leaders, Supplier Executive Owners, Strategic Sourcing, contract owners, risk partners, and supplier account executives to build a consistent enterprise view of supplier relationships, strengthen governance forums, manage relationship health, resolve escalations, and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
You’ll have visibility with senior leaders and suppliers, with the opportunity to influence how the Bank manages key relationships, strengthens accountability, improves service delivery, and unlocks long-term value through disciplined Supplier Relationship Management practices.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Lead strategic Supplier Relationship Management for a portfolio of enterprise suppliers, building structured relationship plans, governance routines, engagement models, and long-term partnership roadmaps
- Monitor supplier relationship health through scorecards, service level performance, stakeholder feedback, issue trends, executive touchpoints, and continuous improvement opportunities
- Plan and facilitate executive supplier governance forums, including Top-to-Top meetings, quarterly business reviews, relationship health reviews, and joint planning sessions with senior supplier executives
- Act as the key relationship and escalation lead for complex supplier issues, bringing the right internal and supplier stakeholders together to resolve concerns, strengthen accountability, and protect business continuity
- Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify relationship-driven value opportunities, including service enhancements, innovation, process improvements, risk reduction, and cost optimization
- Partner with Supplier Executive Owners to develop relationship insights, track partnership objectives, shape supplier engagement plans, and inform long-term product or service roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional supplier relationship teams, aligning Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing, third-party risk, legal, technology, operations, and business stakeholders around shared relationship priorities
- Create practical supplier relationship plans that translate performance insights, business needs, supplier capabilities, and market intelligence into clear actions and measurable outcomes
- Build trusted, transparent relationships with internal stakeholders and supplier account executives to enable a consistent enterprise view of supplier performance, risks, opportunities, and relationship priorities
- Ensure all supplier activities align with third-party risk management policies, standards, and enterprise frameworks
- Promote a customer-focused, collaborative culture that leverages the broader Bank’s capabilities and relationships
- Contribute to a high-performance, inclusive team environment, supporting talent development, engagement, and succession planning
This is a strong opportunity for a Supplier Relationship Management professional who wants to lead high-impact partnerships at the enterprise level—bringing together governance, relationship health, supplier performance, executive engagement, third-party risk, innovation, and long-term value creation.
Do you have the skills to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 3–5 years of experience in Supplier Relationship Management, vendor management, strategic supplier governance, third-party management, procurement, or sourcing within a complex enterprise environment
- University degree (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)
- Strong relationship management, commercial, and financial acumen, including the ability to assess supplier value, relationship health, service performance, business impact, and long-term partnership opportunities
- Proven ability to build and maintain trusted, transparent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders to deliver results
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience with Supplier Relationship Management practices, including governance forums, quarterly business reviews, supplier scorecards, SLAs, relationship plans, escalation management, renewal planning, contract governance, and supplier development
- Ability to manage complex, high-impact supplier relationships across multiple business lines and geographies
- Strong influence and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive alignment at senior levels
- Comfort using supplier performance metrics, relationship health indicators, dashboards, service insights, and stakeholder feedback to influence decisions, improve accountability, and drive measurable outcomes
- Skilled in conflict resolution and escalation management
- Solid understanding of how Supplier Relationship Management works alongside Strategic Sourcing, third-party risk, legal, finance, technology, operations, and business teams.
- Nice to have: familiarity with Supplier Relationship Management tools, supplier performance platforms, contract lifecycle management, third-party risk frameworks, or financial services regulatory expectations.
