Join our dynamic team as a Carpenters Helper specializing in Cabinet Making! In this energetic role, you will assist skilled carpenters and cabinet makers in constructing, installing, and finishing custom cabinetry and woodwork. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to creating high-quality, functional, and beautiful cabinetry solutions for a variety of projects. Responsibilities
- Support carpenters and cabinet makers by preparing materials, tools, and workspaces for various projects.
- Assist with blueprint reading to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution.
- Help with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing cabinetry components using hand tools and power tools.
- Participate in construction activities such as concrete forming, rebar installation, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, roofing, and masonry work as needed.
- Aid in the use of CNC machines and schematics to produce precise wood components.
- Assist with restoration projects by handling demolition, surface preparation, and finishing tasks like painting and caulking.
- Support heavy lifting and material handling to ensure safety and efficiency on-site.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, or during rebar installation.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly.
Requirements
- Prior construction experience or hands-on experience with carpentry or woodworking is highly preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and construction estimating is a plus.
- Knowledge of various construction trades such as masonry, roofing, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, or handyman tasks is advantageous.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces if required.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills across different trades within the construction industry.
