Professional Accountant | Job Description
As a Professional Accountant at F.H. Black & Company Chartered Professional Accountants Inc., you will be responsible for providing accounting support to the Enterprise Accounting Division. You will provide support through a variety of tasks related to bookkeeping and tax preparation. You will communicate via phone and email with clients, and at times provide onsite support ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
Accounting & Professional Skills
· Weekly, monthly and periodic financial reporting and analysis;
· Preparation and filing of GST, PST and Payroll Remittance;
· Directly responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting respecting the client;
· Preparation of data file and records for year-end external accountant;
· Job cost tracking, class and location tracking, and reporting;
· Following FHB accounting processes and policies.
· Post journal entries;
· Process invoices and receive payments through sales module;
· Enter and pay vendor bills through payables module;
· Bank and credit card reconciliations;
· Must be familiar with intercompany transactions and have ability to manage more than one company data file at a time;
· Client communications and client servicing of existing clients;
· Accounts receivable management and reporting (if applicable);
· Other accounting duties as assigned.
· Professional Accountant with 3 years of relevant experience;
· Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Online Accounting software;
· Action-oriented, results driven with the ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment;
· Excellent mathematical and financial skills, with experience in excel;
· Exceptional priority setting, planning, and problem-solving skills;
· Ability to multi-task and manage several responsibilities at once;
· Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and efficiency;
· Strong communication skills (written and verbal);
· Confident, reliable and capable of working independently;
· Knowledge of accounting management systems and procedures;
· Proficiency in MS Office;
· The ability to pass a Criminal Record Check;
