Scale House Operator (Part-Time)

- Monday to Friday
- 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Additional hours available to cover vacation time
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Scale House Operator to join our team in Kitchener. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
As the first point of contact for customers entering the facility, you will be responsible for accurately weighing inbound and outbound vehicles, processing transactions, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Weigh inbound and outbound vehicles using computerized scale systems
- Enter customer and load information accurately into the system
- Process cash, credit, and account transactions
- Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries
- Complete daily paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with site operations to ensure efficient traffic flow
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, cashier, reception, or administrative experience is an asset
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work independently
