Job Summary
Precision Grounds is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Lawn & Garden Maintenance Technician to join our landscape maintenance team for the season.
This role is ideal for someone with strong lawn maintenance experience who is also comfortable assisting with garden care, property cleanup, pruning, mulching, weeding, and general landscape maintenance. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Commercial Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead and support the team in maintaining commercial, condominium, and residential properties to a clean, professional standard.
This is a hands-on field role for someone who takes pride in quality work, can follow direction, works well as part of a crew, and understands that great property maintenance includes both lawns and gardens.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
- Assist with garden maintenance, including weeding, planting, mulching, fertilizing, pruning, and general bed cleanup.
- Maintain commercial, condominium, and residential properties to a clean and professional standard.
- Trim and prune shrubs, hedges, small trees, and landscape features as directed.
- Follow assigned routes, site instructions, and direction from the Crew Lead or management.
- Complete tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and site quality.
- Safely operate power mowers, trimmers, blowers, hand tools, and other landscape equipment.
- Identify and report property issues, damage risks, safety concerns, deficiencies, or extra work opportunities to the Crew Lead.
- Take photos or provide updates when requested to support communication with management.
- Perform routine equipment checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
- Assist with seasonal cleanups, softscape work, landscape projects, and occasional hardscape support when required.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a professional attitude on client properties.
- Support winter maintenance operations if available, including snow and ice management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–4 years of professional lawn and landscape maintenance experience preferred.
- Commercial or condominium property maintenance experience is an asset.
- Experience with mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and general lawn care required.
- Experience with garden maintenance, weeding, planting, mulching, pruning, and bed cleanup is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable operating lawn maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in property appearance.
- Ability to follow direction and work well under a Crew Lead.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks when required.
- Good communication skills and willingness to report issues clearly.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to care for tools and equipment is an asset.
- Physically able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
- Year-round availability is an asset, as winter maintenance opportunities may be available.

Job Details
Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal / Fixed-term contract
Contract Length: Approximately 6 months
Pay: $26.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional weather-dependent adjustments

Experience preferred:
Commercial lawn and landscape maintenance: 2–4 years
Garden maintenance experience: 1–2 years
Compensation
Compensation will reflect the candidate’s experience with lawn maintenance, garden care, equipment operation, commercial property maintenance, reliability, and ability to work effectively as part of a crew.
Higher wage consideration may be given to candidates with strong mowing experience, garden care knowledge, commercial or condominium site experience, equipment confidence, and availability for winter operations.
Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
