Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook and Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to order, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently and accurately, maintaining consistency in presentation and taste
- Ensure all food is prepared safely following food safety guidelines and regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness
- Support team members during busy service periods to deliver excellent food service
- Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving, food safety, and sanitation protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Knowledge of meal preparation processes and attention to detail in presentation
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: $17.60-$21.00 per hour
